So the football season over in the UK kicked off today and the Premier League kicks off next week. What are your expectations for the team you follow? Want to make some predictions about what will happen, then post them here.
I think that Manchester United will retain the Premier League title this season but I don't think it will be easy considering that they have just two decent strikers. I'm not counting Saha because he is never fit. If they can get in another good striker this week then I will be much happier.
I think they should forget about Berbatov (and the outrageous amount of money that would be) and try to get in Huntelaar or Benzema. Both are younger and probably cheaper options.
I totally forgot that the Community Shield is on today. You would have to expect a Manchester United win but they only have Tevez fit to play up front as far as I know. It will be a bit disappointing to see United line up with the same side as last season - even if it is the best side in Europe. It is always more fun to see who new signings shape up.
Yeah Rangers were muck. Watched Birmingham city get a last minute winner against Sheffield United.
The Community shield was alright. That spa Fletcher missed an open goal and Nani looks on form alreadym its a pity he will miss the first two games of the season.
Fergie has been chasing Berbatov before he went to Spurs so I think he will eventually get him this week.
I saw that Fletcher miss. What does Fletcher have to do on the pitch before Ferguson realises he just is not good enough for the club. He could go to a place like Blackburn, Everton or Sunderland and do pretty well. At his age he really should be looking to be a first choice every week.
I for one (and I'm sure I'm not alone) wouldn't be sorry to see him go.
I see that Lampard has signed a new five-year contract at Chelski. I'm sure he is being paid a fortune but it shows a real lack of ambition. I know that Serie A isn't the same as it was about 5-6 years ago but wouldn't it be good to go to another country and prove how good you are?

Nah he has been holding out for this bumper contract for a while.
So Samir Nasri gets the first goal of the season in the Premier League and Arsenal are off to a winning start. I doubt there were too many people out there who thought Arsenal wouldn't beat West Brom today anyway.
