Its still over three seconds of the pace but its an improvement.

Good time BF Remember online racing is all about consistency, so with good times you should have no problem holding your own.

EDIT: I had another go at this and got 1:15.70. For me at least the best way to go around this track is to take the corners as sharp as possible: into the green

Yeah I have noticed that as well. Also very little braking seems to be needed. If your using manual gears just drop down the gears and slide round some of the corners.
Thats an excellent time though. Do you think you will be able to get a few more seconds of it?

lol no sooner then I posted my PB did I bet it: 01:15.57) Not by much mind Knock a few seconds off it? ...lol that would put me well beyond first place. If I could knock a little over second off my PB, I would make it on to the leaderboard, but for one ting time ...maybe at the weekend I could give it a little bit more attention...

I've tried manual gears and can't seem to see any immediate advantage so I reverted back to automatic. You don't need to brake but can slide around corners holding your line as much as possible should better your time.

Leaderboard: RACE DRIVER GRID | CODEMASTERS

I havent tried auto gears. I just thought manual would be quicker. Ill give it ago with auto gears and see how that works out.
What other driver aids have you switched on or off?

Well for one thing (you can't red line it to the max) so if there is an advantage to using manual? ..it would seem very slim. As you were BF, default ...having said that you could experiment a little to see what works for you, but it's no Forza - what you see is what you get.

The wheel could be an advantage with force feedback as with loss of traction - you feel it before you see it, which by then, it's too late.

Yeah the automatic gears is a lot easier. I managed to get a 1:16:48.
The steering wheel and changing the driver aids, and adjustments to the driving line might improve that so ill keep trying.
