Encoding standards are better HD-DVD but that means sweet f a to be honest to whether HD-DVD will beat BluRay.

Definitely gonna wait till maybe Xmas or later before i think about getting one and then i'm gonna see if Blu Ray takes and if the PS3 is a decent price. But most likely it would be 2008 before i would get if its any good plus some games may be out for it then!

after the 3rf/4th iteration of the console so most bugs are worked out
after the huge price drops
once i have enough money to waste
if blu-ray turns out not to be useless in 4 years time when the hd format is decided
then i may plan on buying a PS3
for now im happy with my 360
(and hopefully my wii come sumer)

wudn't bother getting one, the PS2 was terrible, so many shite games, n graphics were awful. don't understand why some people preferred the ps2 over the xbox1!

Nope, i decided to move away from sony all together when i got the Xbox, and i wont be going back! personally i prefer the games on the xbox. Sony hasn't impressed me much in that department.

I personally was waiting for the PS3 but then I bought the 360 and won't be buying a PS3 for at least a year of so (if I even want one by then)

my boss said he could get me one for €300 cheaper so I might get one.

Nice, i would get it then sell it on. Unless Sony pulled a good game out of the bag!
