Some more new information about LBP.

Link

Media Molecule has launced a new website to keep people informed of the developments with Little Big Planet. I had a look at the site and it is really cool. It allows you to redesign the look of the site in a similar way that the game is supposed to work. Genius.

It looks like the official cover art has been released. Looks cool.

Check out the Sackzilla monster in LBP. Pretty cool.

Here

Media Molecule are running a competition to get a user to create their very own Sackboy, which will then be included in forthcoming DLC.

Competiton

The manual for Little Big Planet is available to download from here.

Not sure why it has been released with about six weeks to go before release of the game but it looks really cool. A lot of work has gone into it, the art style is really nice. I read through some of it and a lot of thought has gone into this game. A lot! Just looking at the list of materials you can use and the properties of each. Looks like there will be a big learning curve in the creating mode.

They mention a few times the need for users to regulate their own content - not to create any offensive material. They want to promote a friendly social environment. The manual also shows a 'Good Grief Menu' that you can pop up at any time to report any offensive material.

It has reminded me that I should look into getting the Playstation Eye for this game.

There is a cool video showing a user generated level here. It gives a good idea of the size of levels and the amount of items you can have in a level. I can't believe the level is this big and has so much going on in it. The meter at the side that dicates how much room you have left is only half full too.

Very impressive.

Little Big Planet

I was playing little big planet and have to say its quite enjoyable. The game seems mostly about customising characters and making map packs and supposedly you can do this co-op at some stage. I don't think there is a point to game apart from that.......

It looks like PS3 may a big draw with this for Christmas.

Sorry to be so anal but there is already a thread with this title in the PS3 forum.

here

I think it is going to be far and away the best game of this generation. I can't wait to get it. The possibilities are endless really. And if you turn out to be not very good at creating your own levels you just have to download other peoples levels.

Trophies unveiled

The Trophies for LBP have been announced by PS3Trophies.org. Some of them look like fun to get like the 'Travel at incredible speed' trophy. I'm glad to see that a lot of the trophies are based around the community aspect of the game. Such as building levels with friends or being praised for your creations.

I guess I'm going to have to start finding people to put on my friends list now.

Week 1 free DLC

If you buy Little Big Planet you will be able to download free bonus DLC. The costumes look pretty cool.
