Unfortunately, I won't be getting Spore anytime soon. My MacBook doesn't have a powerful enough graphics card and it isn't on the PS3 (yet). I would really like to play it though. By coincidence I was on the Nintendo Channel on the Wii earlier and I clicked into DS downloads. They had a demo for the DS version of Spore available for download. Funny because it has been at least a couple of months since I had bothered going onto that channel. So I downloded the demo and gave it a try.

The demo gives you the Spore Creature Creature and I was messing around with it for a few minutes. Made a pretty weird looking monster, mainly because I didn't have a clue what I was doing. Apparently there is more to the DS version than this but I didn't get to see it. I think I'll hold on till it comes to the PS3.

I'm actually very impressed with the setup between the Wii and the DS. It took about one minute to transfer the demo to the DS. It is a really good service, just a pity that they don't have a bigger selection as I use it more.

So did anyone get the real version on PC or Mac?

I 'bought' it yesterday to see what the fuss was about, amazing game I gota say. It needs a beast to run it though, but you can see why, the amount of things going on, on screen is amazing. Its really adictive little yoke aswell, great game.

I cant see the PS3 making a good port of it at all, and I dont even wana know what its like on the DS. It just has to big of a scale.

Never mind, got it from direct2download which is cheaper than EA's store for some reason. Probably some retarded DRM I'll find out about later.

I know their download manager is crap.

I knew the reason I can't run Spore is because of the Intel GMA 950 graphics hardware in my Macbook. However, I read today that if I were using bootcamp to boot up in Windows I would have no problem running Spore.

I wonder if that is true.
