Comedy Actors!

So who do you think is a decent comedy actor?? Either still working or currently mainstream??

I know alot of people think Will Ferrell is a decent and funny actor but to be honest I can't stand the guy... I think his humour is just stupid humour. In 'A Night At The Roxbury' it works and it's the only movie I can tolerate him in but everything else he just seems to be making an ass out of himself and getting laughs.

I also bracket Steve Carrell in with him especially for that piece of drivel that was '40 Year Old Virgin'...

Personally I like some of the greats like Steve Martin, Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray and more recently the likes of Jim Carrey (though I will admit some of his comedy borders on the ridiculous!)...

So who do you like??

Jim Carrey is a comedy god!

Steve Martin's later stuff is stupid comedy too, earlier stuff is genius. Jim Carrey's work is generally a good idea for a comedy movie. I even loved the cable guy which a lot of people didn't seem to like.

I don't think there are many other good comedians.

Dermot Morgan was great in Father Ted obviously. I can't think of anyone else. I don't suppose the actors in Peep Show are comedians too? Because that is probably the funniest comedy I've seen in years!

Will Ferrell's greatest film is stranger than fiction. That makes his existence worthwhile.

I'm not a big fan of his movies. They are funny, just not comedy genius.
