Empire: Movie News - Venom Getting A Spin-Off?

Just read this on Empire and I have to say I'm a little bit shocked. Venom was totally crap in Spidey 3 but to be honest I know Sam Raimi didn't want to put him in but his hand was forced due to the fanboys... plus with 2 other rather large villians there just wasn't enough time for him...

Anyway I think a spin-off movie would be disastrous tbh... there just isn't that much of a story to the caracter to warrant it..

What do you guys think??

In the cartoon series they did a great story line for Venom that would give plenty of material for a dedicated movie.

However the implementation requires a director that isn't a fooking muppet.

I've still not seen Spiderman 3 but I'm getting a free copy of it with my laptop from Sony whenever they decide to send it to me
