| Fracture Director: Gregory Hoblit Staring: Anthony Hopkins, Ryan Gosling. Genre: Courtroom Thriller Fracture is another fantastic movie that I saw over the weekend. I had heard about this movie and had a copy of it but never got around to watching it. I'm so glad I eventually did. The movie is about a man who finds out his wife is cheating on him. So he shoots her in the head (as most men would). He confesses to the murder and then we are brought on a journey of a man who decides to give up his right to council and defend himself and proceeds on, how does the phrase go, get away with attempted murder! The case against him is air tight until all the evidence starts falling away to leave the prosecuter (Gosling) without anything to try the case. There is another fantastic twist at the end and really is a great movie. Only one sore point is Hopkins attempt at an Irish accent, though I'm not sure weather he was meant to be Irish or not. Rating: 3.5/5 Imdb: Fracture (2007)

| I saw this movie on the plane of to the US last year and I'm glad I didn't pay to see it in the cinema. It is a decent movie but no more than that. It keeps you interested as you want to see what happens between Gosling and Hopkins characters. I have to agree with Crabs view on Hopkins accent. It is Irish at times, Welsh at others and Hannibal Lector the rest of the time. Very strange. |

| From experience, movies on planes are always much worse than actually watching in a cinema or at home. Planes are not where you want to watch your favorite movies. |
