If so then maybe the router is just remembering something it shouldn't. Routers can be annoying sometimes. Try reseting the router with the button on the router for reset.

Now I've done this and had a router forget all its static ip information. Luckily I had them backed up but I'd recommend you do the same just in case. I've only had it happen on one router and I've reset it since and it hasn't happened but better safe than sorry if you have some settings on the router that you can't rememeber.

how would i do this ie open ports?

the make of router is zyxel

and on perlico website it says it does support xbox

they arent a great provider, im that annoyed about this that i am thinking of changing

Perlico aren't the greatest provider but you have to go through this with all operators if your using a wireless router.

My Da was with Perlico and they charged him when he left them and he had to contact comreg before they'd sort it out. Annoying especially since their customer service is crap.
