| Right the router isn't automatically giving out IP addresses or so it would seem. Login to the router and make sure the address pool allows enough IP addresses for all the machines on your network. Probably not a bad idea to have an extra few in case friends come over. Also check is your router remembering a certain IP Address for the 360 and that the 360 doesn't know its supposed to be using this assigned address. You might be able to delete that reserved address from the router. All this assumes your using DHCP. If you are using a static IP then you'll need to enter the settings manually. Open a command prompt (start -> run, type cmd, click okay) and enter ipconfig /all. Copy down those settings that you also have on 360 and enter them into the 360's settings with a different IP address. |

i have done the ipconfig/all and put in the exact details that were there, the failure report says its the gateway or the dns it is a static ip as far as i know, and from the phonecall i made to perlicos technical helpline, it doesnt fill me with confidence that i will ever get this resolved |

| Have you forwarded/opened the ports on your router for XBox Live? If so then maybe the router is just remembering something it shouldn't. Routers can be annoying sometimes. Try reseting the router with the button on the router for reset. Now I've done this and had a router forget all its static ip information. Luckily I had them backed up but I'd recommend you do the same just in case. I've only had it happen on one router and I've reset it since and it hasn't happened but better safe than sorry if you have some settings on the router that you can't rememeber. What make of router is it anyway? |

| Remember that some broadband providers don't support Xbox Live...I'm assuming Perlico is one of them
