Well goose have I got news for you. I'm rubbish at all the games .

FPS are probably my favourite. COD4 at the minute is my defo fav. I'm rubbish but improving, well I like to think so anyhow, . I play a lot on Headquarters, kill/death ratio is negative but you know what I love it. If you see me online jump in anytime or invite whatever.

I am on at unusual times as I work nights sleep days so you never know when you see me around.

I am one of "those old farts that some mention in a nicer way. And I talk a lot . Its normally something like how the fuxx did he kill me

In Oz people complain all the time because the service lags behind that of the UK and USA - but even so, download speeds of 24Mb are becoming the norm for all the major population areas - but obviously 'major' population areas of Oz, probably covers 10% of the geography and its the rural communities that miss out. So there's no definite progress in prospect for Ireland - crikey!

:love smilies:
Ireland has no ADSL2 lines ATM or feck all of them. eircom haven't bothered putting them in yet although they are rolling them out now. Only about 20-30% of Ireland can get DSL if you include line failures, non-broadband enabled exchanges etc... Most are using Fixed wireless or mobile broadband to try to get off dial up.

comreg regulate broadband (Commission for Communications Regulation - ComReg) and they are the worst regulator in Europe. The Irish pay the highest line rental in the world for the slowest speeds in Europe (except for Cyprus and maybe 2 other countries). Its a disgrace

Comreg are funded by the telecoms industry so the higher the line rental, the more money they get. Comreg salaries are on average 90,000 euro a year. Comreg have responded to consumers complaints actually stating that they don't regulate broadband when they do regulate broadband.

It is a disgrace. The EU are creating an EU regulator to over ride the decisions made by these national regulators that are in the telecom industries pockets. It can't happen fast enough IMHO.

Hope you enjoy your stay in Ireland (I think you're mad to want to live here but each to their own)

Yup there are plenty of elder gamers on this site so you'll have no problem finding over 25's here

To be honest, since COD4 killed Halo i haven't played anything else, i'm rubbish at most games apart from FPS's, though i'm partial to Pacman CE and FUC and Footy games of course.

Well we have one thing in common straight of the bat..yes good old Pacman

There's a lot of gamers on here a bit old in the tooth - so your most definitely not alone. Feel free to jump in wherever you see fit. If you have Forza 2 you'll find a few vets playing that at the moment.

Anyway your most welcome, enjoy
