Right lads Im utterly sick of XP, Ive been staring at the yoke for about 7 years and I needs some makeover.

Now I aint going to get vista, in fact I have a vista home premium OEM disc in the gaff somewhere but Im not going even bother looking for it because vista is log.

But I do feel like giving XP the vista 'look' brighten things up a bit. Problem is I don't know any good or safe vista themes or XP tweaks.
Google springs up alot of links and such, but I know for a fact some vista XP theme software screws up the system files, and can be impossible to uninstall even resulting in having to reinstall XP.

Anyone know any good theme programs or the likes??

Honestly I wouldn't do it.. just upgrade to vista.

I had one and it was a reliable one...the highest rated one on any website I searched on. It screwed up the INI files so it ended up with someone on ATC sending me a Vista Ultimate disc to fix it

I got lazy and installed Vista lol.
Its the ultimate version aswell if that means anything.

I have two HD4870s in CrossfireX so vista was the logical choice anyways...

Same here. You get a few extras ..nothing to write home about. I know a few guys who have shunned vista and reverted back to XP due to compatibility issues, it didn't seem to catch their imagination. I had a few driver issues pop up here and there but I pretty much weathered the storm and everything is fine so FAR ..fingers crossed.

having issues with getting bioshock to ******* work. other then that its all good.

Nice to have crossfireX fullysupported and playing crysis on DX10 maxness

Sorry to double post but....

VISTA IS LOG

getting countless bugs and problems running software, I have loads of stuff for work I have to run and half my games and most of my dodgy suff wont run, or when it does it slogs along.

******* vista ******* child **** pap.

So now I have to spend couple hours 'downgrading'
Sticking all my stuff on my external 320GB HDD and going format and make new install with my XP pro SP3 disc.

What a pain in the holey hole.
