The PAL60 issue is exactly the same problem I had with the Express, which I took back and want to try and use my ATI graphics card for the capture, given I get a VIVO cable. If that fails to work I am going to resort to drinking a case of beer on my own, and that will tell you about how I feel about that

Well that's what I have so far and recommend if you have the money. I'll be adding more components and needless to say watercooling as I go along.

Hi Tech, The last couple of days I've been reading a lot to get a handle on performance motherboards that won't break the bank but what also has a lot of flexibility..

The Maximus Extreme came up time and time again as one of the better gamer boards. Have you got any issues with yours? Are you using the integrated H2O cooling system?

I guess I can't really go wrong with Asus with their video cards also top notch..

I can honestly say that I have not encountered any problems ((It comes with a LCD poster)) that highlights any bugs - in which case I haven't seen any yet To cut to the chase: This motherboard was built at the time for the serious gamer and is highly recommend by every review site there is out there (Cant all be wrong) It comes with a 3-year warranty - Buy with confidence

"integrated H2O cooling system"

Have not integrated any water cooling (so far) because it performs beyond my expectations

If you would like additional information to help you along 'paint me a picture' I.e. visualization - then I'll post you a few pics of the box and case to give you a better idea of the ins and outs - clear descriptions from the manufacturer.

The video card failure seems to have been a power supply problem instead but I am not even going to hassle replacing that and will instead buy myself new components when on holiday where things are a lot cheaper.

One thing I should've done long ago was to replace the 430W with a 700W or better unit but this time I'll buy a modular PSU which makes cabling a lot easier.

It is going to be an expensive exercise because none of my current components will work but as you know if you want to run you have to pay...

I picked up a GT 260 for my pc not realising that my psu was kind small :P So going to go ahead with a new build.

Whist browsing boards I found this site hardwareversand.de which seem to be cheaper then Komplett if your buying a few things. My order on komplett was €750 (not including shipping) and on hardwareversand.de it was €620 (including shipping) They have a flat rate shipping of €30.

I'm probably going to put the order through this week or next.

MSI P7N Zilent, Sockel 775 nForce750i SLI, ATX
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Tray, 8192Kb, LGA775, 64bit, Kentsfield

If my bonus is anyway good this summer i'll probably bump the specs up a bit.
