So what is everyone expecting to see implemented in the multiplayer part of GTA IV?

I am hoping that it is something similar to Crackdown in that you can be playing your single player game and someone from Live can pop in and play. I would allow more than one person to join as well.

I would also like to see a gametype where up to say, 16 people can play in the same city. Then you could just have a free for all game or players could join gangs and fight the other players. The possibilities are huge. Imagine the fun you could have being chased by lots of people in cars.

I expect it to be bigger then Taj Mahal and king Kong. lol I don't know very much about the on-line aspect of the game at the moment, but the last bit you hit on would be pretty cool

I'm a bit wary that multiplayer could be bad. I remember playing the patched version of San andreas on the pc and the online version which is a hack was muck.

I like the idea of a multiplayer function. That what made Crackdown enjoyable.
Plus i get really, really bored playing single player games lol. I need someone to blabber to and plus helps you get achievements too.

Does anyone know if this feature has been confirmed?
