Winning Eleven Blog reaction to PES2009

Over on the Winning Eleven blog they have posted their reactions to a gameplay session on PES 2009. They seem very happy with it and are comparing it to PES 5 & 6.

They say the gameplay has slowed down a lot and it isn't as easy to dribble past players. Also praised new animations and weather effects but mainly they are just happy with how it plays.

In bad news for PES, EA have announed an exclusive deal for La Liga licences. Does this mean that La Liga in PES 2009 will be just like the Premier League from the last game? A couple of real teams and the rest are made up. I hope not but it looks likely.

Quote:
“Today, EA also announced it has secured an exclusive licensing agreement with the Spanish Liga BBVA and Adelante. The exclusive partnership with the Spanish La Liga grants EA SPORTS sole rights to include every Spanish La Liga club and enables the EA SPORTS FIFA franchise to deliver the most realistic and up-to-date game with current kits, squads and player likenesses.”

Hmm, I dunno. Don't both games have the official teams and players from the bundesliga? I'd say nothing will change.

You can see some good quality footage of PES 2009 by following the link below.

I don't care that it looks much like the last few games, once the gameplay is still great.

I also read that FIFA 09 demo is out on 11th September so I'll give that a try too.

Demo dated

The demo for PES 2009 will be on Xbox Live and PSN on the 11th September.

Other news is that it will feature a fully licensed Champions League mode.

I hope they include the Become A Legend mode in the demo. That is the feature I'm most looking forward too.
