A bit more info on what game types you like and im sure we can point you in the right direction.

If your into RPG games Lost Odyssey is a turn based RPG game like Final Fantasy. You can get it online from Asia or America as its region free be sure to get the Asian (English language) or American versions.

Devil May Cry 4 is an Okish game if your into Hack and slash type games.

Mass Effect if your into it. Its a sci-fi FPS/RPG mix. Best game of last year in my opinion.

Assassians Creed another good game based around stealth.

Call Of Duty 4 if your into FPS good game with a great multiplayer

I also hear that Burnout Paradise is a good game

Ok here we go:

BioShock: Great single player and just overall amazing! Recommended as the first game to get if you haven't played ot. BTW it's kind of short. But nonetheless, amazing.

Call of Duty 4: Best multiplayer ever. 'Nuff said.

Assassin's Creed: Stealth assassinations FTW! I loved it.

TES IV: Oblivion: AMAZING! Hundreds of hours of gameplay. Definitely a buy.

All I can think of off the top of my head. :P

C.Salij has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Assassins Creed will hold you for about a month.
Longer if you were anal about the flags like me

Other than that I'd recommend oblivion if you havn't played it

if ur into car games, try out colin mccraes 'dirt', good enough to hold u out till GTA4, and wont take u as long as FM2 to finish.
else get any of the games mentioned above (what i really mean is 'just go an by COD4')

The words anal and flag should never be in the same sentence.

I agree about oblivion though... Had it best part of a year and still am no where near completion.
